My musical ear was shaped first by Santiago Giacobbe—former jazz pianist of Astor Piazzolla—who gifted me his collection of over 700 original 1970s jazz records when I was 16 years old. Classical pianist Juan Carlos Arabián taught me classical structure. Beatriz Pedrini showed me the pure technique of motion and piano mechanics. Nicolás Ledesma, a master of tango, shared the secrets of the great pianists. And Juan Falú hypnotized me with his way of explaining folklore—among many other great masters.
